Win Lifts Arrows to 35-23
The Milwaukee Arrows handed the San Francisco Sailors a sound defeat, 12-3, at Golden Gate Stadium. Jim Stogner, who finished 2nd in the CA in home runs with 28 last year, was a main contributor to the win. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Milwaukee. Tex Cavanaugh earned the win. Eli Kershaw took the loss for San Francisco. The Continental Association East-leading Arrows are 35-23.

Harry Edwards drove in one run for Milwaukee. The reigning Whitney Award winner had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Eli Kershaw. It was his 43rd RBI of the season.

San Francisco manager Bob Harris said: "We got ambushed. We just sashayed into the canyon and they were firing from both sides."
