The New York Gothams did just enough to nip the Minneapolis Millers, 9-8, in 15 innings. New York pitcher Lou Walker, in particular, had a standout performance. Minneapolis has now lost 5 consecutive games.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Armando Estrada? The 30-year old right fielder Estrada stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 15th inning to put New York up, 9-8. For the game, he was 2 for 2, including 1 double and 1 single.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Gothams manager Bert Carlton.
