| Stars 6-2 Winners Over San Francisco | Los Angeles turned a good effort from starter Jackie Thompson into a win over the San Francisco Sailors at Golden Gate Stadium. The Stars won the game, 6-2. The save was credited to John Herzog, his 4th. The Sailors, 6-9, continue their sluggish start to the 1975 campaign.
With Los Angeles leading 2-1 in the top of the seventh, Thompson hit a run-scoring single off San Francisco hurler Jim Teal. It was the 1st hit of the season for Thompson and put his team ahead, 3-1.
"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said Stars manager Charley McCullough. | |
