| Wranglers Win, 5-2, Versus Cougars | Dallas took on Chicago in front of a lively crowd.
The Dallas Wranglers racked up a win at Cougars Park, bumping off the Chicago Cougars, 5-2. Pete Rosenbaum, who started for Dallas, pitched effectively for his team. Rosenbaum got the win, improving to 4-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The save was credited to Jack Meeks, his 2nd.
Dallas relied on the bat of Ed Norris to get the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Wranglers ahead, 3-1. For the game, Norris had 1 double and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Dallas manager Vic Kramer.
The Cougars fall to 7-9 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 1975 season. | |
