St. Louis parlayed a decent outing from starter Billy Hasson into a solid win over the Los Angeles Suns. The final score was 7-4. The win gives St. Louis a season record of 24-8.

St. Louis shortstop Paul Watson contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a forkball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Pioneers ahead, 5-1.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Hasson.
