| Wolves 4-3 Winners Versus Milwaukee | The Toronto Wolves topped the Milwaukee Arrows, 4-3, in Continental Association action at Lakefront Park. The standout performance belonged to Toronto pitcher and Alexandria, Indiana, native Lee Humphrey. The winner was Humphrey. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Mel Maddox. Milwaukee is now 9-4.
Dwayne Cleaves, who finished 3rd in the CA in stolen bases with 36 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Cleaves contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Toronto up, 4-0.
