Wranglers Use Late Score to Top Wolves, 8-7
With center fielder Ed Thompson leading the charge, the Dallas Wranglers defeated the Toronto Wolves, 8-7, at Norris Stadium. Thompson went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Dallas reliever Gene Amico picked up the win to move to 1-0. Zeke Blake suffered the loss. The Wolves fall to 8-10 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Thompson hit a sinker from Zeke Blake for a run-scoring single. The Wranglers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This wasn't a good win," said Thompson. "It was a great win."
