| Suns Dump Detroit, 5-3, to Win 4th in a Row | Los Angeles and Detroit duked it out and the Suns came out victorious.
Los Angeles picked up a win at Wilshire Park, bumping off the Detroit Dynamos, 5-3. Pitcher Heinie Schmidt was a major reason the Suns emerged victorious. The save went to Ron Clark, his 5th this season.
The Suns got a big at-bat from center fielder Henry Hart. For the game, Hart went 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Los Angeles a 3-1 lead.
"Heinie was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Los Angeles manager Jim Coulter.
The win brings the Suns to 10-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
