| Thomas Dominates Fort Wayne | Before the game, Jeff Thomas said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Fort Wayne Grounds, the Cream Caps pitcher blanked the Fort Wayne Cannons, 2-0.
"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Thomas said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my changeup even when I was behind in the count."
The Milwaukee starter held Fort Wayne scoreless, giving up 2 hits while registering 1 strikeout and issuing 3 walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Cannons manager Ray Flanders said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
