New York Defeats Cleveland, 2-0
The New York Imperials rode a solid performance from 27-year-old starting pitcher Don Bradner to a win, beating the Cleveland Foresters, 2-0, at Forester Stadium. The defeat makes Cleveland 4-8.

With New York leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Bradner hit a fastball from Roy Rice for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Imperials ahead, 2-0.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Bradner.
