| Foresters Scratch Out 2-1 Win | In a tight affair between the Cleveland Foresters and the Seattle Kings, pitcher Dick Couture was in the zone. The Cleveland right-hander helped his team win the game, 2-1. Couture, the winner, moves to 5-4. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. Bob V James recorded his 13th save for Cleveland.
The Foresters got a big at-bat from left fielder Ken McKinney. For the game, McKinney went 1 for 3 with a triple. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Cleveland a 1-0 lead.
"Dick did a good job of managing their lineup," said Cleveland manager Ray Parsons.
Cleveland now owns a record of 27-29.
