| Suns Win, Adair has 3 hits | Riding the 3-hit performance of the 30-year old right fielder Pat Adair, the Los Angeles Suns stopped the New York Gothams, 8-1, in 9 innings. Doc Carver picked up the win, lifting his record to 11-12 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 0 in 8 innings, while yielding 1 run. The 9th-place Suns sport a record of 61-84.
Los Angeles third baseman Bill Burke contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a changeup to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 85th hit of the season and put the Suns ahead, 4-1.
