Chicago Loses, 8-7, to Philadelphia in 11
Chicago second baseman John Butts had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-7, to Philadelphia at Liberty Coliseum. Butts went 4-5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3. Alfredo Jimenez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Phil Murphy suffered the loss. The Keystones raised their record to 26-31.

Philadelphia got a knockout punch from Andy Parker. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Charlie Leist.
