The Houston Comets defeated the Detroit Dynamos, 6-2, at Thompson Field. John Edwards, who is tied for 4th in the FA in doubles with 4, was a standout performer for Houston. Houston used the timely hitting of Jerry Robinson to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Comets on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
