| Foresters Win 5-4 Walk-Off | The Cleveland Foresters downed the Dallas Wranglers, 5-4, at Forester Stadium. The Foresters were led by Orlando Benitez. Benitez went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. The win went to Charlie Sawyer in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Asbury Ashmore took the loss. Cleveland has won 4 consecutive games.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Benitez hit a fastball from Asbury Ashmore for a run-scoring single. The Foresters, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Winning is great," Benitez said. "It's always just guys picking each other up -- if not me, then the next guy." | |
