Walk-Off Win Makes Cincinnati 42-45
Al Farmer, who finished 3rd in the CA in triples with 13 in 1950, led Cincinnati to a triumph over San Francisco. The final score was 12-11. The second baseman went 3 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 3 runs and added 2 RBI. The 5th-place Cannons hiked their record to 42-45.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Cincinnati trailing 11-10, Tommy Allenby hit a fastball from Roy Rice to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Cannons had a walk-off win.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Farmer.
