Coulter Hits 2 home runs in Keystones Win | The Philadelphia Keystones trumped the Chicago Chiefs, 8-6, at Broad Street Park II. Philadelphia shortstop Al Coulter was terrific. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Charlie Rushing, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 14th save. The 4th-place Keystones are 70-68.
Coulter contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Philadelphia in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Coulter took a sinker from Bud Andrews and stroked the home run to right. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Keystones to leap in front, 3-1.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Philadelphia manager Don Fox. | |
