The Boston Minutemen locked up a win at Dalton Domed Stadium, knocking off the Houston Comets, 4-2. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Johnny Baylor. He played a major role in the triumph. The Minutemen move to 32-26 with the win, while the Comets drop to 32-25.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Dick Ward? The Boston center fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Minutemen on top, 3-1. For the game, Ward had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
