Clippers Beat Dynamos in 11
The Baltimore Clippers topped the Detroit Dynamos, 5-3, in Federal Association action at Thompson Field. The standout performance belonged to Baltimore pitcher and Columbia, Tennessee, native Dick Butler. Sonny Stoyer closed the game out for Baltimore, earning his 3rd save. The defeat makes Detroit 18-38.

Baltimore took a 4-3 lead on Carl Thompson's 2nd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Thompson hit in the top of the 11th, left Detroit pitcher Bill Boschen visibly frustrated.

Butler told a Baltimore Citizen reporter that he felt "elated" after the win.
