Keystones Reel In 8-7 Win
The Philadelphia Keystones stopped the Minneapolis Millers, 8-7, at Broad Street Park II. The Keystones got a big game from Jake Butler, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Dick Duke. He's now 1-3. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 6 runs on 13 hits for the Keystones. George Britton nailed down the save.

The Millers had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Keystones going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 12-year veteran Andy Parker came to the plate. Parker hit a 3-run home run on a 2-1 fastball from Minneapolis hurler Hank Wagner. It was Parker's 4th home run of the year.

Butler said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."

Philadelphia's record now stands at 25-30, placing them last in the Federal Association East.
