Cougars 2B Gibson goes 3-for-4 in Win
Chicago second baseman Jack Gibson was instrumental in helping the Cougars triumph, 7-6, over the Cleveland Foresters. Gibson was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Arch Wilson in relief. His record improves to 1-4. Harry Tracy took the loss. With the win, Chicago pushed its record to 39-30.

Gibson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 fastball from Harry Tracy, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Cougars a 7-6 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Gibson.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Gibson.
