The Philadelphia Keystones defeated the New York Gothams, 13-6, at Gotham Stadium. Philadelphia was led by 1960 Whitney Award winner Harry Dellinger, who went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was two-time All-Star Jorge Arellano. He tossed 114 pitches over 8 innings, allowing 6 runs on 9 hits. The win for the Keystones raised their record to 68-67.

With Philadelphia leading 9-6 in the top of the ninth, Dellinger hit a fastball from Russ Swift for a grand slam home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and put the Keystones ahead, 13-6.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Philadelphia skipper Don Fox.
