Eagles Rally to Nose Past Minneapolis
The Washington Eagles overcame a pretty good performance by Minneapolis left fielder Johnny Taylor, beating the Millers, 5-4, at Columbia Stadium. Taylor went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Minneapolis has now lost 5 straight.

Washington took a 5-4 lead on Dick Rabkin's 23rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Rabkin hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Minneapolis pitcher Dan Charlton visibly frustrated.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Washington manager Roger Cleaves.
