Keystones Rally For 1-0 Win | The Philadelphia Keystones picked up a win at Broad Street Park II, knocking off the New York Gothams, 1-0. Starting pitcher Joe Kienle was a big reason why. Philadelphia raised its record to 47-36 with the win.
Philadelphia took the lead, 1-0, on Dick Sheehan's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Sheehan hit in the bottom of the eighth, left New York pitcher Jorge Arellano crestfallen.
"I was a little disappointed," said New York manager Bert Carlton. "We could've and should've scored more runs." | |
