Stars Suffer One-Run Loss at Toronto | The Toronto Wolves picked up a win at Dominion Stadium, downing the Los Angeles Stars, 3-2. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Bill Medley, who played a pivotal role in the win. Medley, now 7-6, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Toronto now has a record of 34-33 with the win.
The Wolves got a big at-bat from shortstop Jesse Taylor. For the game, Taylor went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Toronto a 3-1 lead.
