Millers Stumble, Lose to Miners
The Pittsburgh Miners defeated the Minneapolis Millers, 9-4. Shortstop John Moreland deserved a large share of the credit. Moreland was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Miners. The Miners sit in 5th place in the Federal Association with a record of 63-68.

Roy McGee was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk for Pittsburgh. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Joe McDowell. It was his 23rd walk of the season.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Moreland.
