| With Late Score, Minutemen Beat Pioneers | Behind a solid performance from center fielder Bob Menz, the Boston Minutemen defeated the St. Louis Pioneers, 8-7. Menz went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Minutemen. The Minutemen sport a record of 19-31.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Boston trailing 7-6, Menz hit a fastball from Roy McDonald for a 2-run single. In the blink of an eye, the Minutemen had a walk-off win.
"We came out aggressive," said Minutemen manager Dode Edwards. "We came out swinging the bats."
