Sailors Handed 7-2 Loss by Cleveland
Getting an impressive start from Roy Rice, Cleveland beat San Francisco by the score of 7-2. Rice, now 6-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Foresters, now 22-28, know that wins in June count the same as wins in September.

The fans who came to support the Foresters were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Forester Stadium.

"I tried to establish all my pitches early," said Rice.
