| Los Angeles Nets 4-3 Win Versus Cougars | The Los Angeles Stars grabbed a win, 4-3, over the Chicago Cougars at Cougars Park. Los Angeles first baseman Bobby Garrison went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Los Angeles pitcher Floyd Warner got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Charlie Lawson got the loss. Los Angeles goes to 6-8.
Garrison had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Charlie Lawson, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Stars a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Garrison.
Los Angeles manager Charley McCullough commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
