Win Streak Now at 6 for Keystones | Wilshire Park was the site of a tense game between the Los Angeles Suns and Philadelphia Keystones.
The Philadelphia Keystones faced a tough opponent in Los Angeles pitcher Grant Davis, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Wilshire Park by a final score of 3-2. Davis went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. William Davis, the winning pitcher, improved to 9-8. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4.
Philadelphia used the timely hitting of Bob G. Murphy to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Keystones on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like what I saw today," said Philadelphia manager Don Fox, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
Los Angeles now owns a losing streak of 5 games. | |
