| Cougars Subdue Milwaukee, 6-5 | The Chicago Cougars scored a tight, 6-5 win versus the Milwaukee Arrows at Lakefront Park. Chicago pitcher Pug White held his own in the contest. Augie Hicks collected his 2nd save. Chicago is 29-26 and Milwaukee, with the loss, 32-18.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Sam Morrison was at the plate when Chicago scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Cougars to go in front, 5-4.
"It's good to win," Morrison told the Chicago News. "I like to have fun doing it."
