At Gotham Stadium, the New York Gothams and Minneapolis Millers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Minneapolis Millers outlasted the New York Gothams, 6-4, in 10 innings. Julio Castaneda led the way, going 2-for-3 for Minneapolis. Minneapolis reliever Ben Baird snagged the win, upping his record to 6-6. Herb Isom shouldered the loss.

Malcom Bronk drove in one run for Minneapolis. With one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Bronk had a clutch at-bat. Facing New York hurler Herb Isom, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Millers a 5-4 lead.

"Where are all my critics now?" said Castaneda. "Tell them they know where to find me."

At 23-28, the Millers find themselves in 4th place in the Federal Association West.
