| Floundering Comets Lose 7th Straight | Starting pitcher Bill Hunn was a major factor in the 3-2 Atlanta Copperheads triumph over the Houston Comets. Atlanta pitcher Ike Abraham got the win. He's now 2-1. Bob Young was tagged with the loss. Houston is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
Al Hubbard was the walk-off hero for Atlanta. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Copperheads second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Hunn. | |
