| Wranglers Win, 2-1, Over Milwaukee | Dallas starter Pete Rosenbaum put the Milwaukee offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his sinker in leading the Wranglers to a 2-1 win. Otey Stevens claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 4-1. George Kelly earned the save for Dallas, his 1st of the year.
Buck Stout drove in one run for Dallas. With two out and the game tied in the top of the seventh inning, Stout, who led the CA in hits with 202 last year, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Milwaukee hurler Johnny Britton, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run to give the Wranglers a 2-1 lead.
"Well, it's always frustrating to lose," said Milwaukee manager Randy Hendrix.
The third-place Wranglers have a record of 28-24. | |
