| Minutemen Edge Suns, 4-3 | Pat Todd powered the Boston Minutemen to a win over the Los Angeles Suns. The final score was 4-3. The Boston third baseman, who finished 5th in the FA in doubles with 29 in 1956, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Bob Hollister got credit for the win, improving to 1-5. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings. The Suns, at 8-20, have stumbled out of the gate.
Todd had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Minutemen went on to win.
