| Mavericks Drop 5-0 Decision to Wranglers | Right-hander Joe Rice mesmerized the Kansas City Mavericks while leading the Dallas Wranglers to a 5-0 victory. Dallas reliever Joe Rice got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Cal Newman was tagged with the loss. Dallas, now 9-5, has played well in the early going.
Ed Norris, who is tied for 4th in the CA in runs scored with 11, took Kansas City hurler Cal Newman deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Wranglers on top, 2-0. In all, Norris had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
