Jack Peeples helped his team muscle past the Toronto Wolves, 10-5. In the game, the New York catcher was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The defeat makes Toronto 4-7.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Imperials right fielder Al Reece hit a fastball from Gary Preston for a 2-run single. Just like that, New York was up, 5-4.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Toronto manager Carl Evans.
