| Los Angeles Steamrolls Minneapolis, 14-3 | The Los Angeles Suns romped over the Minneapolis Millers, 14-3, at Hennepin County Stadium. Sam Forrester led the way. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for Los Angeles. Jim Place, who went 7.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 10 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 2-0. The loss drops Minneapolis to 7-6.
