Beavers Clip Blues in Tight Contest, 3-2
The Toronto Beavers earned a close win over the Chicago Blues, thanks in part to Dan Turner. The Toronto right-hander, who leads the UL in quality starts with 5, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Turner got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The loss drops Chicago to 9-8.

Mike Nettesheim was the walk-off hero for Toronto. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Beavers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Nettesheim said.
