| Cannons Earn Clutch Win, 1-0 | Cincinnati got a first-rate effort from pitcher Herm Quinn, who frustrated Milwaukee hitters en route to a 1-0 Cannons triumph at Lakefront Park. Milwaukee, with the loss, is still a hardy 7-2.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Bill Brown? The former first round draft pick Brown stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Cincinnati up, 1-0. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Cincinnati manager Charlie Britton.
