Foresters Pull Out Late Win, 7-6
The Cleveland Foresters finished things off in style.

The Cleveland Foresters picked up a win at Forester Stadium, knocking off the Chicago Cougars, 7-6. Starting pitcher Dick Couture played a key role in the triumph. Bob Scott came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-1.

The Foresters got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Frank Chandler. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left-center, to win the game for the Foresters.

Chandler said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."

With the win, the Foresters improved to 26-24.
