Warren Tosses 2-0 Shutout | Charlie Warren bent a little, but he didn't break against the Los Angeles Stars. The Cincinnati Cannons pitcher hurled a 3-hit, 2-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 5 walks and tallying 11 strikeouts.
"Charlie is good at getting out of jams," Cannons manager Hal Upton told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
To date Warren is 5-4 in 13 starts with a 3.20 ERA and has 73 strikeouts in 101.1 innings. | |
