| Imperials Handed 3-2 Loss by Cincinnati | In a low-scoring tilt between the Cincinnati Cannons and the New York Imperials, Herm Quinn, who finished 3rd in the CA in strikeouts with 171 last year, was the difference-maker. The Cincinnati right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Quinn picked up the win for Cincinnati, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Earl White wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.
Cincinnati took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Frank Eddy hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Cannons.
"Anyone who says he's not out there thinking about personal accomplishments is not telling the truth," Eddy said later.
The loss drops New York to 6-4.
