The Boston Minutemen beat the Pittsburgh Miners, 15-10, at Fitzpatrick Park. Joe Kleman, who finished 2nd in the FA in hits with 203 in 1954, starred for Boston. He went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Pittsburgh has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Ray Gonyea hit a 2-run double off Pat Simon in the top of the second, which put the Minutemen in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Gonyea had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.
