New York Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in ACS
The New York Imperials moved to within one game of the World Championship Series, downing the visiting Seattle Kings at Dyckman Stadium by a score of 10-5. Imperials first baseman Al Reece did some major damage. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The win gives the Imperials a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Association Championship Series.

Brian Miller hit a 2-run double off Swede Hawkins in the bottom of the first, which put the Imperials in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Miller had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Miller said. "We did a good job of that today."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dyckman Stadium in New York.
