Rice Records Shutout Against Cougars
Cleveland Foresters hurler Roy Rice was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Chicago Cougars, shutting them out, 10-0, on 6 hits.

"Roy was very aggressive tonight," Cleveland manager Ray Parsons said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."

Through 9 innings, Rice tallied 3 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk.

"He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Pug Bryan said. "Rice has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
