McClure Propels Cleveland Offense in 12-2 Rout
The Cleveland Foresters polished off the San Francisco Sailors by the score of 12-2. The largest share of the credit belonged to catcher Larry McClure. McClure was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Foresters. By defeating San Francisco, the first-place Foresters improved to 49-29.

A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the second. That's when McClure hit a curveball from George Reynolds for a 2-run single, putting Cleveland up, 2-0.

"It kind of got out of hand on us there," said losing manager Walt Zecher.
