| Eagles Tagged with 4-3 Loss | Los Angeles Suns starter Pete Meissner pitched a strong game against the Washington Eagles at Wilshire Park, leading the Suns to victory, 4-3. Ron Clark earned the save for Los Angeles, his 8th of the year. The second-place Suns now have a record of 29-20.
Los Angeles third baseman Eddie Kellum contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put the Suns ahead, 4-1.
"Helping the team win is what it's all about," said Kellum.
