| Gothams Prevail, 5-3, Over Minneapolis | The New York Gothams picked up a win at Gotham Stadium, dropping the Minneapolis Millers, 5-3. Red Blanchard, who is tied for 5th in the FA in wins with 13, was the difference-maker. Bill Howard picked up his 15th save of the season. The Gothams raised their record to 55-64.
Frank Arnold's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning was a big one for New York. Coming to bat with one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and New York trailing 1-0, the third baseman hit a run-scoring single.
"Nice win for us," said Blanchard. "Now we'll go after the next one."
