Yamashita, Owls Wallop Bulls in Game 4 of NCS
Kyoto catcher Hiroshi Yamashita was the difference-maker for the Owls in what turned into a shootout with the Kobe Bulls. Yamashita earned accolades after going 2-for-3 in the 10-1 Owls win. With the victory, the Owls moved into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Tensui Kato, who finished 5th in the EL in extra base hits with 54 in 1973, chipped in a 2-run single for Kyoto in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"What a debacle," groaned Kobe manager Shojiro Tasaka in postgame remarks.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Owls Park in Kyoto.
