| Seattle Hands Milwaukee 6-4 Loss | The Seattle Kings moved to within one game of the World Championship Series, downing the visiting Milwaukee Arrows at Seattle Municipal Stadium by a score of 6-4. Kings first baseman Jesse Scott did some major damage. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. The win gives the Kings a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Association Championship Series.
Seattle pinch hitter Curt Day helped the Kings go up, 6-4, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Day hit a 2-run single off Milwaukee pitcher Johnny Britton.
"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Day said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."
Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Lakefront Park in Milwaukee. | |
