Road Win Lifts Atlanta to 2-1 Lead in ACS
The Atlanta Copperheads moved to within one game of the World Championship Series, downing the Los Angeles Suns on the road at Wilshire Park by a score of 6-1. Copperheads right-hander Marco Middleton had a strong outing. He threw 9.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Copperheads a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Association Championship Series.

The Suns had trouble solving Middleton, who surrendered 1 run on 4 hits over 9 innings.

"It's hard to overstate how much this mattered to us, especially in a short series," Atlanta manager Don Fox said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wilshire Park in Los Angeles.
