Seattle Tops Atlanta, 6-4, Claims 2-1 Series Lead
With starter Swede Hawkins leading the charge, the Seattle Kings defeated the Atlanta Copperheads, 6-4, in Game 3 of the World Championship Series. The right-hander threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball at Peachtree Stadium to help Seattle take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Seattle won the game in part because of Jesse Walker. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Kings ahead, 4-2. For the game, Walker had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Hawkins, "to ramp up the pressure."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Peachtree Stadium in Atlanta.
