6-4 Kansas City Win Thrills Crowd
The performance of Hank Williams proved critical in helping Kansas City beat Cleveland, 6-4, in 11 innings. The Kings first baseman was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The winner was Gordon McDonald in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Sibby Smith took the loss. The Kings now own a record of 38-36.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Kansas City. That's when Ken Newman hit a 2-run home run off three-time Whitney Award winner Sibby Smith to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"This game was intense," Williams said, postgame.
