Millers Topple Keystones, 9-7, as Powell Shines
Bill Powell had a big hand in the 9-7 Minneapolis triumph over Philadelphia. He rattled off 4 hits in 4 at-bats, scoring 2 times and knocking in 3 runs. Minneapolis reliever Del Robinson picked up the win to move to 3-0. Buzz Lucas suffered the loss. Minneapolis occupies 4th place in the Federal Association West at 21-27.

With Minneapolis leading 8-7 in the bottom of the seventh, Powell hit a run-scoring single off Philadelphia hurler Buzz Lucas. It was the 55th hit of the season for Powell and put his team ahead, 9-7.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Powell, "but we could've played better."
